get back to my prepregnancy weight, since my son was born in 2000, so I've clearly been carrying these extra pounds for far too long (read all 52 entries…)

So S and I have now kept a weight chart for a whole month. Well, we skipped Jan. 1 and started on the 2nd.

Yesterday I looked at all the numbers. Eliminating days of post-breakfast weigh-ins, I found our average weights. I also noted our starting and ending weights and our highest and lowest weights. I put a list of these numbers above the Feb. chart I started (posted on the door of the bathroom closet.)

The goal is for the average Feb. weight to be lower than the average Jan. weight. This seems possible, right? We both did lose a little in January.

but apparently I am all out of them for the moment! Writing down your weight is a good idea, that way you have documentation of your progress.

I only weigh myself once a week, the daily fluctuations are too much fo me! I weigh myslef on Tuesdays,.

I basically am working on the same goal as you, to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but it’s a lot mroe embarrassing for me because my “baby” is going to be 17 in April. Yikes! I have lost 16 pounds on my journey so far, at least now I am back to something like seven months pregnant weight lol. My goal is to reach a total weight loss from beginning weight of 25 pounds by his birthday in April. That’s about nine more pounds. I know I can do this!

16 lbs. is a lot!

You should be proud! And yes, if you’ve done that I am sure you can do those last 9.

The daily fluctuations are why I averaged the weights—giving a sense of what the norm is, and hopefully the norm will be lower and lower as the months pass.

Probably a year and a half ago I actually got serious about this weight thing and I lost quite a bit, then I get within a few pounds (at my very lowest) from where I’d like to be, and I lose all motivation. But then I see pictures of myself slimmer and I really want to get there….
