fast for 21 days

Greetings from Day 5! I’m actually doing a juice fast. I thought it would be so much easier but I’m having a really hard time drinking juice. I might just finish up the fruits and veggies I have now and then switch to water. I’m actually only doing 10 days right now because I want to water fast through Lent. 45 days…yikes. But I’m going to Borders tonight to look for a good book or two to help me through it spiritually. I love the concept of fasting through Lent and breaking the fast the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.

Physically I’m good. On nights 1, 2, and 3 I had bad headaches at night and when I sat and stood too fast. I feel like I’m coming off of my food addiction slowly but surely. I’ll only have 2 weeks to eat before my Lenten fast which isn’t enough time to go back to pizza and burgers daily coming off of a 10 day fast. I feel clear-headed. I don’t need anywhere near as much sleep as I did last week.
