I’m not too worried about speed for my first race, but I do want to finish it. I thought that under 50 minutes would be good, but today I learned that I might actually be able to finish it in 35 minutes! I’ll be happy if it’s under 50 minutes in the 40 to 50 minute range as I’m a slow runner. I also don’t have a very big stride when I run so that needs to be taken into account.
On the treadmill, I’m doing about 15 minutes per mile… it will be interesting to see how I progress in the next 3 to 5 weeks. :-)
