follow my instincts (read all 2 entries…)
Hmm... 10 months ago

My mom always said, “You’ll do what you want no matter what anyone says” but she is usually angry when she said it :). I think my problem was that I was not following my instincts so much as what sounded good at the moment. I had a strong spiritual awakening recently where I discovered my animal totem (native american spirituality) and realized how far off the path I’m both meant to be on and want to be on, I was. So I am fiercely determined, hell or high water, to live my life as I should, to follow the signs. Even when they don’t make sense! But I think the most important thing is to follow these signs, instincts, pulls, and not think about it. Don’t analyze it. One day you’ll understand why you saw that, did that. It may not be for years but you will eventually see.

That....is

Impressive! My suggestion is to keep going into nature and spend time with your Cougar.
My animal is a Black Panther, it’s been my totem since I was a small child offering courage, strength and a window into the spiritual realm.

I agree. I need to get into nature. I need to start going where I know I’m feeling a pull. That pull is and has most definately been coming from nature. Which is why in a little over 1 year’s time I will be moving to an area near the wilderness. It’s interesting, though, lately I have been being attacked by australian shepherds (I work with dogs) and I’m wondering if maybe that isn’t telling me something. It’s very odd that the dogs that lunge at me tend to be of one breed. What about me makes them aggressive? I’m not timid! I’m not overly domineering, either! It could and most likely is just due to an aggressive dog, no deeper meaning. Though in this world I’ve learned that there very rarely is such thing as a coincidence. I was nearly attacked again just tonight! After walking out the door this aussie was running at me and his teeth clipped my coat arm. It was absolutely vicious towards me! Not to anyone else, just me! I don’t know! Oh well.

Dreams

Interesting, I’ve heard of the concept of soul groups for animals in the sense they, in this case the aussies, are of one soul.
But, If you’re not sure about something you can ask for an answer in your dreams…So, right before you fall asleep, clear your mind and keep asking the question while you drift off into dreamland. The answer usually comes within a few days.
