Find Maya and bring her home (read all 23 entries…)
Last night I dreamed 10 months ago

that a man in a work suit (one piece… like a janitor outfit) found Maya. He wanted to keep her. Instead of the $500 reward, he wanted to pay me $1500 to keep her but I wanted her back no matter what. I still want her home. It’s been 6 months since she got lost.

It is hard to believe it has been 6 months. I am so sorry Prof.

My screen saver

has photos of her and it’s so hard whenever her pictures show up. If I feel this strongly about a cat, I can’t imagine how hard it must be for parents when an actual child goes missing. When my other cat, Mittens, died of old age, I understood and I enjoy seeing photos of her on my computer. This is different because I just don’t know if she’s OK or not. I hope that janitor has her. He seemed like a nice man in my dream.

By the way, I love the picture of your cat and dog. So cute!

It is the not knowing that really makes this so hard, and I keep thinking that if you just could get word that someone took her in, then things would be ok.
Thanks so much for the compliment. It took awhile for Charlie to trust Oliver Twist and now they are very sweet together.

First Love

You know what they say about your first love? Well I just ran across a photo of me with my first cat. We were both about 2.5 years old when this photo was taken. When I saw this picture I knew that Maya had been reminding me of Buttercup the whole time. Funny thing.

That is the

sweetest picture.

hope

Back when I was a teenager, my best friend had a lovely persian named Smoky. Her mother (the friend’s) was a little off in the head and decided to drive Smoky out in the country and drop her off (but it was okay in her mind to keep her two cats).
Two years later, Smoky showed up on the doorstep, matted and bruised and hurt, but alive. We cried.
There is always hope.

Thank you

Just today some emailed me swearing she had seen Maya in a shelter. I called the shelter who said they did not have my cat, but this girl swears she saw her there. Hopefully she will go take a photo for me. I still have hope. Thank you for the story!
