I moved to Nashville many years ago and it took a looooong time to make friends, but once I did they were lifelong friends!!!! I made most of my friends through a job I had and some of my friends came through music. I had a band that performed most every weekend. But I found that people in the south don’t warm up to you till they get to know you, but then once you’re a friend, they will do most anything for you.

Keep doing one thing consistently, like a job or a hobby or something….and let people get to know you. Do you like church? Is there a club you can go to the same night every week? If you’re young, get a job at a restaurant or somewhere so that you have a chance to meet people your own age.
