Mere is puzzled as to why she can't...

have more "me" time (read all 2 entries…)
This thought has been going round and round in my head..

“What about your time?”

Single parenting is tough. Hats off to the women who are single parents, work and raise happy children and find time for themselves, for things like health.

Once upon a time, I thought it would be easy. This is reality. I am posting here at 11.00 in the night about time for myself.

I wake up at 6.30, get daughter ready, drop of her at playschool, go to work, come back at 5.45, take her out for a walk,, play with her and she finally sleeps at 9.30. In between her need for attention, I get the house organised, try and sort my financial stuff. I sleep on an average at 12.00, getting in half hour of reading a magazine.

I would love to have an hour and a half to get back to shape. My physical fitness level is awful. I used to be sooo fit..( sigh). The only way I see this happening is a) I get wealthy b) A good maid comes my way, so that I don’t have to spend time in the evening catching up on household stuff or c) the lady who live next door comes through and gets a girl from up north to come and be a live-in help for me. Chance are bleak that any of the three will happen. If there are any prices for wishing and praying, I will probably get it.

One tired momma here!

just some suggestions take 'em or leave 'em.

I am sorry your schedule is so tight, It does seem like you have to be rich to get some of these things now a days huh? I wish you good luck in all of it, thought I might add some suggestions, hope there helpful or maybe something you didnt think of before, if not whatevs:
What if you:

- exercised on your lunch break, like take a walk/ run/bike. some of my dads friends have done this, I think they eat at their desk while they are working to make this possible, don’t know if this is feasible for you.

- if you live close enough you could bike/ walk to work/ school and get some exercise there plus be more environmentally friendly. And maybe get some time in doing it with your daughter?

-do more active activities with your daughter, sounds like you might be doing this kinda with the walk after work? maybe you could change the walk with her into like a bike ride or some other activity that burns more calories or whatever.
