Got it! 10 months ago

Picked up the book from the library and it is safely tucked away for our trip next week. Facing two and half long days drive to Florida, so I hope this book will make some hours sail on by~

The Alchemist

Let me know how you like it. The audiobook version was up on iTunes for free, so you could try that out if you have an iPod or a similar mp3 player.

its a great book, I´ve read most of his books, they always leave you something positive!

The Alchemist

Did you ever get around to reading it?

well...

We had to return it the first time, because our time was up and there was no renewal option.

We got it back again, and for the past 2 weeks or so the book has been sitting on my bed, by my pillow, just waiting for me to finally roll over and choose it for my nightly read, instead of choosing another book from the pile I have on my bed.

But what Im thinking of doing is devoting a day to it, so I can in effect read the book in one sitting. Its due next week or the week after, so time is ticking. For the first time in awhile I dont have anything on the calendar this weekend.

It would be great if I could just sit back, relax, and read the whole book then.

Tsk, tsk...

Had it and didn’t read it… tsk, tsk… lol.. j/k…

Ah, you’ll read it when you’re ready to… but message me and tell me what you think about it when you do… :)

What else have you been reading lately?

a few things

In Defense of Food, Yoga: A Basic Guide, Yoga: Mind and Body, The Rough Guide to Travel Survival. Those are the ones Ive been reading from over the past couple weeks, but Ive got a boat moat around the bed as well. All kinds of things in those piles, The World Without Us, The Portable Atheist, The God Delusion, Dr. Andrew Weil’s Self-healing newsletters, Pranayama, book on Jivamukti yoga, to name a few.

I cant wait for you to read Globetrotter Dogma, I think you have one more book before it right? I really hope you enjoy it. Nice thing about the book is that its divided up so well that anyone with even a passing interest in travel will be able to find something, at least one little canon, one little quote, one little story, that they like. Then there’s others, like moi, who devour the tome and love just about every word in it!!

Books

You’re like the third person in two days to mention In Defense of Food. I’m going to have to check it out.

I’ll definately keep in touch while I’m reading Globetrotter Dogma. I’d like to hear how you like The Alchemist, as well.

This book you can read in a solid 2 and a half hours, and it will forever remain in my top ten list for the insight it offers.
This goal better be complete by June’s end with no excuses.
