This morning a friend and I went to Kudzu Antiques Market. It is a fantastic place! I love all the booths of clothing, old windows, bottles and signs. They also have an area with folk art.

what a great place to wander through.

That shop looks fabulous!
Solena D. had a bad dream
That would be
my ideal Saturday, wondering through a place like this. I love markets of all kinds, and I always come home from one with at least one thing that I really really need :)
Pajodama is so sleepy, she wants to be home instead of waiting for her class :|
I see you did have fun, good tour and excellent pictures. Good job BP!
Great photos
That place looks amazing but I absolutely see what you mean about the allergy meds:) After a while the dust, smells and clutter would get to me and I’d need to take a break! Still looks very cool though!

Cool!
That store looks awesome. It looks like a great kind of place to find some ‘found’. There’s been a Big art vibe going through our house over the past few weeks.
loved the tour
Atlanta appears to be a charming place! Not what I expected (have heard that it is a city of vast suburbs, with little cultural interest.)
You heard there is little cultural interest in Atlanta? That really surprises me. :)
Well, I am trying to keep my Atlanta tour limited to places I frequent. It was hard to move here from my small North Carolina town and I try to make the best of it.

I didn't know you came from N.C.
We very nearly had to move there when I was a kid.
yeah, i am from Wilmington and I went to college in Greensboro and in Winston-Salem. So I got to live all over NC :)

Within a hair's breadth
We came very close to knowing each other, given our similarity in age. We were going to move to Wilmington when I was 12. The outfit my dad worked for picked up and moved from St. Paul to Wilmington, and some of the employees had the option to move along with them (foremen and more skilled laborers). He was going to move down there for a couple months and then we would have followed. It came right down to the wire, and then he and my mom decided we should stay. This would have been in ‘83, and as I remember it, the job situation was pretty similar to what it is now. Those were some shaky years, and I remember during the time of the possible move i was both excited about moving somewhere so different than Minnesota, and worried that i wouldn’t see my grandparents again. I honestly do not know to this day why my parents decided to stay at the last minute; I should ask them.
