I’ve been doing this for almost 12 years now. At first, the urge is to plan big fancy meals every night. Fight the urge. I’m careful to only plan one or two meals a week that will produce leftovers (we use them for lunches). The rest of the nights are small meals where I only cook as much as we need. It’s just such a relief to come home from work already knowing 1) what we’ll have, 2)that I have the ingredients to make it and 3) the recipe is ready to go. No last minute trips to the grocer!
