what i’ve done so far is to continually wash my hands. okay, sounds wierd, but the freshness of my hands, and the soap on it makes me feel better about my hands, and keeps my hands active instead of working their way towards my mouth. Also, there’s a bit of a sting when i wash my hands, so it reminds me of the damage i’ve caused. Also it makes me take more pride in my hands.
just for the record, and for the relevant authorities, i would number my handwashing habit at twenty a day at most.
but i have this problem, in that when i get tense and i am not biting my nails, my replacement is to clench my fingers into my hands. This makes it hurt when the nails have started to grow again. I really think it would be easier to give up smoking
