I’m from the outer hebrides and I don’t speak it.. well, fluently anyway. My whole family and a lot of my friends speak it and I can understand some of it, I just can’t join in a conversation. My first language was english and when I was very young I would throw a strop if someone tried to teach me or speak to me in Gaelic so apparently, its my own fault I wasn’t brought up with it.(????) LOL!! Well… I guess its up to me to put that right. :)
