Ru ~ dig deeper glitter in her wake...

Hone my curves (read all 38 entries…)
Plugging my nose 9 months ago

I’ve been doing the odd “now that’s a good idea!” fun exercise shows I come across, and we’re outside taking walks twice as often, but damn… I’d really like to go swimming again. It’s been years. If only there wasn’t the issue of buying a bathing suit. That, I have to confess, is not one of my favorite tasks on the planet.

We’re also stocking up on much better snacks, I’m back on the V8 train, drinking lots of water & taking my vitamins. The scale has been my friend lately. Sometimes it even gives me a cheeky little wink. I’ll just keep plugging away.

When I have more cheers, I must cheer this....

Also, I was thinking I’d like to cheer Ru for cheering your post, but I usually cheer all the good stuff she posts anyway, so even if she hadn’t cheered you, I’d be cheering her anyway.

So, I’ll just give Ru a hug (((((Ru)))))

Well, there is Wreck Beach, and .....

In Vancouver you only have to wear the bottom part to the other beaches.

But, if you really want to wear a suit to the beach, I won’t try to talk you out of it.

And I would cheer everyone...

But the cheer fairy has been a real scrooge today.

Wreck is lovely – there’s currently still snow in the dark corners and my skin isn’t fond of full monty sunshine, but it’s lovely. (I’m looking for a photo I saved from an article… will post later if I find it). I was thinking about for the pool. They do have clothing optional swims here, but I was really hoping for a suit. Or to have 8 million tiny gems glued to my body.

8 million tiny gems.....

That could be cool for sunbathing, if the sun made the gems sparkle.

But swimming could make the glue come loose (of course that could be kinda fun ;-)) , unless you use krazy glue or epoxy, but I don’t think you’d want to go that route.

phred3 is grateful for summer!

there's still time to get in shape :)

Strength train & eat well 80% of the time :)

i’m working on this too. haven’t been swimming since Aug ‘08 :(

Yoplait Whipped Yoghurt

Stick some in the freezer. Much healthier than ice cream. Very enjoyable.

While I can swim well, I don’t enjoy swimming for exercise. I much prefer running. Alas, I am heavy enough that running would rapidly destroy my knees and ankles.

So I’m walking these days, but every day.

best of luck honing your curves!

inneedofinspiration is thanking God!

hurray swimming!

I love this post! The picture is great. I am happy to hear the scale fairy is with you. If you look Target (and I imagine other stores) have great sales on bathing suites. They may not be the best choices, but if you have one you will be ready to swim when the chance arises. It would be fun with a child, too! My aunt got passes to a local hotel from a friend at work. I am not sure how that works, but I bet it’d be fun!
