I was never a tree-climbing child. I preferred to sit in the roots of them, making up stories about whatever lived in the hollows of the trunk. I think I missed out on something. I will climb a tree this year.

I’m so glad that you’ve decided to do this finally. Growing up I lived in the trees around our property. I built clubhouses in them and was always climbing up as far as the branches would support me. I never really had any fear of heights because of it. I should go climb some of those old trees again this summer.
