not get angry for one week

I’ll start tomorrow . I get angry easily so this is going to be hard !! Let’s hope I’ll manage to do this :)

September last year, I took the decision to not get angry. To not let it fizzle away inside of me either.

Discovered that an angry spate often comes about because someone else is mad at something completely unrelated. eg they’d had a crap journey to work or things going wrong in their own life. Got into the habit of walking away and let them yell at someone else.

How is this goal coming on for you, Sunrish?
Next time you feel anger welling up, go for a walk around the block. Twice. If you are still angry ok, go around again. If this time, you are still angry, then go ahead and be angry. Be the angriest you have ever been. Don’t hold back. Let the world know you are angry. Be the incredible hulk. Growl, wave your arms, stamp your feet but don’t physically hurt a soul.

On the other hand if you still wish to be on speaking terms with the neighbourhood, I’d suggest more walks around the block noticing unusual details of the buildings, weeds growing through the cracks in the paving stones. Maybe stop of for a coffee.

Eventually the day will come, when anger will be worked out of your system. Plus all that walking will have made you very fit and healthy – unless your stop offs for coffee included muffins. 8)
