I’m finishing my freshman year of college in eastern Pennsylvania. My plan is to continue at my university for the fall ‘09 semester then transfer to a community in San Diego, CA. Obviously, I’m a poor college student, so this very well may be an “unwise” move on my part. However, it’s what I’m doing and I’m damned stubborn about it. I believe this can work and no matter what I’ll be happy with my decision. I’m moving in with an old friend of mine out there, but I’ll need cold, hard advice on expenses, budgeting for the SoCal environment, and job searching while doing going to a community college (for a year or so – until I’m considered a full-fledged California resident, then university!). Would you recommend part-time school, full-time job or the other way around? Again, any past experience of yours or thoughts are welcome. Thanks! :)
