1-Was there any one dominant religion that surrounded you growing up?
Catholicism
2-Were you a member of the dominant religion, or were you an “outcast?”
Mainly an outcast, although I did some religous things to whcih my father forced me
3- If you were an outcast, what were your experiences with “fitting in” or just growing up in that environment?
It was horrbile. My father made me to e.g. attend religion lessons although I didn’t believe just to keep the appearances that I’m not an outcast, but I was anyway so it was just worst that way. When I turned out 14 I decided to be a rebel and I didn’t listen to my father anymore, so I was in a constant conflict with the maintream. I just didn’t want to surrender, I could have but the current situation in my country is because everybody surrenders.
4- Did you ever feel pressured to believe a certain way by peers or family members?
and
Peers, school, some family members. Until my graduation from high school.
5- What is different about what you felt about religion growing up,and how you feel about it now?
I was more rebelious and angry when I was younger, now I calmed down a bit. Still, I hate the way in which church tries to impose its way of thinking on the society and mixes up with politics.

I grew up with catholic and christian crap...

...being crammed down my throat.

I thought it was silly bullshit when I was a kid, and that opinion has not changed in over 50 years.

Gods...

1-Was there any one dominant religion that surrounded you growing up?
My family was catholic, as was my school. This was a fairly liberal seventies kind of catholic though, where Jesus was our buddy and god his amiable dad, so I have very little trauma about that.
2-Were you a member of the dominant religion, or were you an “outcast?”
Hardly anyone really cared, I think. Maybe it helped that I was in a catholic school but on the other hand my best friend went to the christian school across the road. No problem, no worries.
3- If you were an outcast, what were your experiences with “fitting in” or just growing up in that environment? n.a.
4- Did you ever feel pressured to believe a certain way by peers or family members?
No, never.
5- What is different about what you felt about religion growing up,and how you feel about it now?
The main thing being that I don’t believe the bible is true anymore.

Religion

1. Was there any one dominant religion that surrounded you growing up? Anglican but non-practicing. We were just thought that there was a God and He exists and that’s who you call on in time of need.

2. Were you a member of the dominant religion, or were you an “outcast?” Well I’d say after a while I became somewhat of any outcast as my deserve for spirituality grew and it was more than just living a “good” life.

3. If you were an outcast, what were your experiences with “fitting in” or just growing up in that environment? I had a bit of struggling with my parents who couldn’t understand for the like of them why I’d prefer to be in church than out partying. They complained a bit b/c they found I was going to church too much lol.

4. Did you ever feel pressured to believe a certain way by peers or family members? No not really. I searched and I found what I was looking for and no one else could have persuaded me otherwise after that.

5. What is different about what you felt about religion growing up,and how you feel about it now? The only difference is that I’m now “practicing Christianity as a opposed to just saying I believe in God.
