I worked for a couple of land trusts for a while. It was very rewarding work in a very interesting, laid back but challenging atmosphere. The best thing is to enjoy the experience but watch out for burnout and stagnation, and get out if those things happen to you. Non- profit work often allows you to get more diverse experiences more quickly than say, a public sector or megacorporate job.
