I’ve been thinking a bit lately about actually learning to play recorder (I’ve played clarinet for about 7 years and always just played recorder like clarinet…guess I figured that was how it worked!), and I finally have obtained one and a small children’s book on how to play. Hopefully I will be able to play decently soon

Good for you
I was never really exposed to music as a child so I knew of only the basic instruments like guitar, drums, piano etc…
My aunt gave me a toy/ mini organ when I was little, which I loved! Too bad my lousy friends put it outside and ruined it.
Even though I was about 4 or 6 at the time it left me with a taste for Piano and when I saw the movie Music of the Heart, I wanted to play the violin too.
3 years ago I bought a harmonica and booklet. I was learning it slowly but my siblings quickly broke the Harmonica. tsk, tsk
Just several weeks ago my 9 year old 4th grade cousin showed me her recorder and told me it cost like 4 bucks I was hooked.
Recorder is even cheaper than Harmonica so…yeah, not hard to see which instrument I will probably be picking back up first.
