but I will be. I don’t care about this one anyway, being financially independent is a much better goal. If it will take being a millionaire to do it then fine, but I probably won’t need that much. The thing is though, is that people who manage to become financially independent have learned to manage their money so well that it makes them enough money to live off. The money they make accumulates and eventually they become millionaires. Since I am 100% committed to becoming financially independent, it stands to reason that I will be a millionaire one day. Cool – maybe.

Hey, thanks for the cheer on this one. Many years ago, to say that you wanted to be a millionaire meant that you wanted to be filthy rich with money oozing out your ears and eyes. These days to say that you want to be a millionaire really only means that want to pretty well off and live in comfort. And in some parts of the world you can’t even do that with a million bucks. Financially independent. That’s the ticket. At the rate I’m going though it’s gonna be that I need to be a billionaire just to be a “millionaire”. We need to invent some new intermediary term that encapsulates the feel of the original “millionaire” but takes into consideration that we now have to pay half that much just for a three bedroom, two bath, double garage.
43 Million bucks might be the magic number.
