travel the Pan-American Highway from top to bottom
Do it in parts.

I have been travelling The Pan-American Highway in several 3-7 weeks trips at a time. So for I have done 4 trips. I have covered the highway from Northern Montana to San Jose, Costa Rico and from near Quito, Ecuador to Calama, Chile. Never had any problems even in the poor countries, like Nicaragua, El Salvador or Bolivia, This is a great ride. It is worth its weight in gold.

Pan American adventure

I am very interested in learning more about your adventures. Method of transportation? What kind of opportunities do you find? Would you recommend your travels for seniors in good health and ready for adventure??

Hello:
Your best bet is to go to any bookstore to the travel section and view the Lonely Planet guidebooks.
Latin America has nice buses. Do all your travelling in the daylight hours.
I am 55 and have had no troubles in any country; including Nicaraugua, El Salvador or Bolivia.
Just blend in to the public.
Also you will meet some wonderful people who are from Europe who are great travellers. They are very helpful.
I am returning to Costa Rico later this year.
My E-mail is jnsmnty@yahoo.com
Feel free to e-mail me.
Thanks.
