so after having this on my 43things list for over a year, I have taken my first actual step to making this happen. I began the record search for my great grandfather’s naturalization papers on NYC’s vital records site & I requested a copy of his marriage certificate. The list of documents I need is very long, so I would like to at least begin collecting some of the easier documents. I still have to get some dates cleared up (need to ask family). I really want to get this so I can have the opportunity to live in Europe hassle-free. I lived in Italy for about a year and a half for grad school & had to deal with all the stresses of the immigration process which was not fun!
