Oh, Paris is so beautiful and there are so many cultural things to do and bars and many eateries are open all night long (you can go for a knuckle of pork at 5 o’clock in the morning, how great isn’t that?!), but it’s not… London. I miss the big smoke more than I thought was possible. I miss Ken’s taxis and the trains that never work, I miss polite people and having a pint with my mates in the local pub. I miss the fact that there is such a thing as a local pub. Wherever you are, there’s always a pub around the corner, and even though I don’t go every day, there’s something great with a place that serve as a living room for the locals. Is there anything better than a guinness or a glass of red in front of the fire in your local on a cold sunday afternoon? I surprise myself by being so nostalgic!
