in a used book I picked up from the local library… author’s sincere note. Had to mask the names… well, perhaps didn’t have to, but it’s a privacy issue, isn’t it?

My favorite part: ”...and because he doesn’t rename tough things I believe in the lie of ‘positive’ thinking.” Lovely! :)

Oh, my pleasure… I wonder why John let go of his dedicated copy of the book, though. Or perhaps he made the sacrifice of donating the precious copy to the library? :)

Who knows, indeed...

... perhaps as simple as having given a particularly meaningful book to a friend… who then turned it over to the library? Or perhaps knowing that he could always revisit the book—just not in his private collection…
