A lot of explaining to do
| This is becoming a longer course than I expected, partly due to it having to be done during work hours (there are so many other more important tasks to get done for work during work hours!) As I am fairly comfortable with web 2.0 applications and love working in the ‘cloud’, I decided to take more of a mentor role for the others in my organisation that are doing this course as they are typically much less comfortable and less experienced with technology and the web. This means that my blog posts take so much longer to research and write than I expected. I find I am often trying to help clear up misconceptions, and explain why a specific web 2.0 tool is useful, when colleagues have dismissed it as irrelevant, time-wasting, or dangerous. Currently, half way through the course. I will continue to maintain the blog (Aether ICT) long after this ‘course’, but I will probably change the focus to using technology in education or to enhance learning. | ![]() |
