know what you pay in tax 8 months ago

I swear by my life and my love of it that i will never live for the sake of another man, nor wish another to live for mine.

I wish it was that easy. I’ve read a few articles about growing your own tobacco (though I don’t smoke) for my dad. In Ohio, combined federal and state tax for a pack of cigerettes is $25 per carton. That’s $25 being looted by government for every 200 cigerettes.

I’ve started making my own wine, but it’s not my primary comsumption of alcohol. I’ve started from scratch from plums and bought kits. It’s definately drinkable, but more importantly not taxable.

The big kicker is property tax. There is no way around it that I know. Moving to Pittsburgh is going to be a big humbling kick in the balls. You can’t OWN land in PA, you simply rent it from your school district.

I was also kicking around the idea of donating the majority of my salary towards selected non-profits. Since my money is disappearing, it should at least go towards causes I believe in and not the government. I could easily live on a fraction of my personal income and the non-taxable income i currently bring in. The only problem is I want to give to a charity which will fight for the liberty of citizens against the government. haven’t seen too many of these.
