I lived there from 1990 to 1995. I was that gaijin sarariman. Worked in computer programming and learned Japanese at Fujitsu then became a bilingual Unix administrator at Goldman Sachs Japan.

Very expensive place to live. I left because my unhealthly life style finally caught up with me and made me feel very ill.
The Japanese country side is breathtaking. The japanese people are decent (society can be a bit funky though but hey I’m a gaijin).

The resturants, shopping and bars are great.
I miss the food the most (it took a while to find all the dishes I really liked), the friends I made too, and maybe even the drinking a little.

Going back for a visit would be nice.
