finish my degree
Undecided-Need it to teach English abroad 8 months ago

I go back and forth on whether or not to finish my degree. I am an LVN with no interest in pursuing an RN, mostly because I couldn’t do the job I do now if I got my RN. I’ve always threatened to get a degree in English, but it seems kind of silly. This is something I may do much later down the road, simply because at this point it would be a waste of time and money. I would need the degree to teach English abroad though and I would enjoy the process of getting it. I am only a year or so away, so it is something I should probably do.

UTSA and others...

Here is a link….

The mother of all programs to finish up a degree is University of Indiana 90-30 (transfer up to 90 credits) program. Most states have these programs but UI is the oldest ( I think) and reasonable…in price….

http://scs.indiana.edu/undergraddegrees/degrequirements.html

Other colleges list these 90/30 programs as extension college or online learning for Texas it is the telecampus system.

Northern Arizona University also has a 90/30 program as well, but back in the day it was UI. Each day it is getting easier to get a degree.

Also non-traditional but accredited schools are below:

Thomas Edision, Charter Oak and Excelsior. I would also say Walden is good as well and Western Governor’s University (www.wgu.edu). The standard is UI program, take 10 classes plus some credits…done. Harvard has a program too as well …

Community College was my first step towards a Masters.
