have a romantic candlelit dinner at home (read all 2 entries…)
June 7 months ago

June is a month full of celebration.

The Date Day is on a Friday. Even it’s after a holiday (Corpus Christi), Friday is a work-and-college day and probably we won’t make big celebrations (and I hate lines at restaurants).

Our relationship anniversary is on the Sunday before and we can make celebrations during all the weekend, if possible. I think a candlelit dinner will be great, as we never did it.

Now I’m searching for the right recipe. Have to be practice, because I have to be beautiful to the time to eat, talk and date :) It can be something simple too and we can eat early, seeing the sunset (if it’s not raining as usual this time of the year).
I have already some ideas in my mind. It will be great if it is a thing I can get done previously and just but to cook while I get ready and gorgeous. Maybe a pasta or a chilli. What could be special to this occasion?

Sounds lovely!

I hope this works out and you have a lovely meal, in fact I’m sure you will :D

Suggestion

I see you are cooking more lately. Do you have any suggestion to give to me? :D

I have a very nice one

It’s a marinated chicken dish, if you like that kind of thing. But it is late and I must go to bed, so I’ll email you the recipe tomorrow :) Goodnight!

Marinated Chicken

I received your recipe at my e-mail and I loved it. I will certainly do it. Not even at my special dinner but even in other occasions too. Probably I’ll do before the day day to try and adjust the quantities to my taste. I’ll keep your e-mail and give you a feedback :D
Other recipes are very welcome. If you want, I can send some from my own recipes notebook.

Of course

You could prepare everything for the meal ahead of time, like if you have to cut something up or if you have things to mix togherther. This way you can same some time to sit and chat with your novio while the food is cooking.

Also, if you love bread then I have a great recipe: Get a loaf of French bread and slice it about 1 – 1 1/2 inches thick. Put a little butter or olive oil on the slices and toast them until they are a little brown. Next put a little honey (not too much) on top and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Put that back in the oven until the cheese is melted. This is sooooooo yummy, the sweet hone and the salty cheese together. BUT it is a lot of calories so you have to be careful. I have not made this in about 4 years but I used to make it only when I had guests over and everyone loved it.

Did you know?

Rachael, did you know Kika is making a candle lit dinner in June? You should come. I think it will be fun. You know the saying; the more the merrier!

I'm afraid I can only attend a virtual one

Sadly now is not a good time for me to be travelling. But I’d love to if I could! :)

VeeShay is figuring it out

Lol

Yes, the virtual is the one I am referring to. I still haven’t gotten my passport yet so I won’t be going to Brazil at the moment.

Ohh

Well now I feel stupid, hehe. How exactly would a virtual dinner work, though?

Sounds nice! I hope

you’re planning on inviting all of us!

June has other celebrations...

... that you can join if you are in Salvador at the time. But the candlelit dinner will be private, very private, if you know what I mean! :D

Yes, I definitely understand the part about the candlelit dinner being very private...

but don’t you think your boyfriend will feel left out if we don’t invite him, too?

VeeShay is figuring it out

I do believe...

that Kika definitely has her boyfriend in mind for this. After all, she did menthing that this is for their anniversary and that she has to cook, be gorgeous and date at the same time. Sounds like she has plans for a man somewhere in there to me! ;D

Don't worry about Jimrim, dear

He’s just a dear friend here in 43T that loves to make jokes with me :D

He's my special guest...

... and probably the dinner will be at his apartment. I think it’s impossible I don’t invite him :D

VeeShay is figuring it out

I don't think so

It sounds like Kika’s plans do not include us, Jimrin. We will have to have our own candlelit dinner with 43 candles and 43 people.

Dinner to the 43T friends

I promiss that I make a wonderful and special dinner to the one from 43T who visit me some day :D

VeeShay is figuring it out

Nope. Sorry

The more I think about this, the more I like Jimrin’s idea. We can crash the dinner and make ourselves at home.

{{{HEY EVERYONE ON 43THINGS! KIKA IS COOKING A CANDLE LIT DINNER AND EVERYONE IS INVITED}}}

Big invite!

We can do a 43T World Meeting at my home, what do you think about that? :D

Kika has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
