travel more and more (read all 3 entries…)

This year (2009) I’ve visited Belgium twice and once Latvia.

I love Bruxelles – it’s beautiful – old meets new. And those Belgium waffels and chocolate… mmm… could eat endlessly!

What I really love about Bruxelles, is that there’s so many parks and green areas in the city. And those noisy lovely parrots in the parks flying around.

“Party-breakers” for me are the totally confusing metrostations without any understandable sign-system and the rain. It can be truly sunny and warm night one day and rainy the next. Must bring umbrella with me next time!

Comments:

hello !

I’m going to spend a couple days in Bruxelles in July…what would you recommend I see ?

hi!

Defenetely go see the Atomium (near Heysel metrostation, Koning Boudewijn/ Roi Baudouin direction). Across the Atomium is mini-Europa, that’s fun as well.

In the city centre I love the Grand place and wondering round in old town. You can discover so many nice places in there.

And my favourite place in Bruxelles is the Jubelpark (parc du cinquantenaire) – it’s nice and quiet and I could photograph the lovely parrots in there for hours :)

I add a picture of the Atomium for you ;)

All the best!

:D

thanks very much !
