Following on from a conversation with Absnasm I was thiking of the song “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen. I went down the road today whistling it past my neighbour who is having some building work done and as I continued on I heard a couple of the builders strike up the chorus. I didn’t intend to start a karaoke but it made me smile and it certainly didn’t have a point!

It’s like a Mexican wave of rock! I would double-cheer this if I could. It’s so catchy, you just know that other passers-by will pick it up too. If you timed it right you could get the whole country singing it.
forming in our minds! It’s such a total feel good song. The lyrics are catchy and fun, it makes you glad to be alive. I even ended up singing it in the shower tonight as I got ready for work!

When I was in third year at school (that’s about 14 or 15, non-and-young Brits who don’t know the old school system) a gang of us swotty misfits used to hang out in the music rooms at break. We would play that song on the stereo repeatedly and run around and dance like loons. It was so much fun!
I just know sunshine would be up for it. We need to educate our US pals!
