Wow, I haven’t been on 43things in forever…it has changed a bit! L Anyway, what made me think of this is that I’m sitting here watching a special on the travel channel about the American Orient Express. I decided to look at the website again to check out pricing and such, but got a shock when I did.

This is what I found:

Under the heading Contact Us:

“As of August 28, 2008 our partnership with GrandLuxe Rail Journeys, the owner & operator of the line formerly known as the American Orient Express, has ended due to suspension of operations because of their bankruptcy. No future trips are scheduled at this time, but we will update this site with any additional information as it becomes available.”

BUMMER!!!
