The other day I was talking to my mum, bullshitting about how uni is going and I just said “I’m thinking of doing a teaching diploma after I finish the arts deree then finish the law bit while I work”. The minute I said it I realised it was a fantastic idea and the funny thing is I had never had that idea before and it came out of nowhere. Crazy. But it seems like a genuinely good idea for the time being!
I seem to recall my grandfather was both a scholar of Latin and Greek, a lawyer, AND a gentleman farmer.
It might help if you only teach part time, while you’re working on the law degree. Do you have any money to live on while you’re getting those degrees?
