stop eating french fries
alternative 7 months ago

I’ve been doing good. Not having nearly as many as I usually do! I’ve been replacing my way too often serving of fries with homemade mashed potatoes (without butter or margarine).

Look at how the two compare!
medium size french fries:
calories—400
total fat—20g
sat fat—5g
trans fat—5g
carbohydrates—50g
protein—4g
vitamin a—0%
vitamin c—0%
calcium—0%
iron—5%

And now..
1 cup mashed potatoes with no butter or margarine
calories—150
total fat—1g
sat fat—1g
trans fat—0g
carbohydrates—40g
protein—4g
vitamin a—0%
vitamin c—20%
calcium—5%
iron—3%

I’m never having fries again. When I think about it, mashed potatoes are better for you, burn a few calories making them, don’t have to leave the house for them, they even taste better (to me at least). And so, I see no logical or emotional reason to continue eating fries. I’m marking this as done!
