Im thinking of getting a lotus flower on the inside of my left wrist…. It will be my first tattoo and I’m nervous, although I do really want it. I want it to be visible at all times ( ie not on my butt!) to remind me of why I’m getting it but i’m worried about how i’ll feel about it when I’m 50 or 60!
Is it a cop out to get it in white ink?
I have been scribbling ink marks on my wrist where the tattoo will be…. Im getting used to it…. I like what you said about at 50 or 60 there will be more stuff to worry about!

Im getting a lotus as i was given an old chinese proverb years ago which said ” a lotus is a flower which grows in the mud, the thicker and deeper the mud, the more beautiful the lotus grows…” I always knew if i got a tattoo it would have to be a lotus…. screw it… I think I’m gonna do it!!! :-)

I’ve had it since I was in my late teens, and I’m now 40. Its my favorite of all my tattoos, and I love the fact that I get to look at it everyday.
On my back resides a large lotus, and I’d love it I had it on my wrist so I could see it as well. Beautiful idea.
