Perhaps this should be “plant a tree for Gabriel and Shawn” now.

Tonight Tommy and I talked about when we could do this and decided that because oaks grow so slowly, we will plant two fast growing maples for both the boys, and when we buy our own land with our own home, where we will live permanently, we will plant oaks there, one for each child.

I love trees

and we planted one a couple of years ago but it never crossed my mind to plant it in the name of my daughter.

We don’t have enough land to plant another tree in her name but maybe once the swing set and play house are gone in a couple of years we could do that.

My daugther has a vegetable garden that we expand a wee bit year after year, so In the meantime, I could always get a stone plaque and have her name inscribed on it for the garden.

Oh, now I’m so excited about this! This will have to go on my list!

Me too!

We have the land, my concern is that my mom’s livestock will destroy any saplings we plant. We have fences, but they don’t always keep animals out! lol.

I think the stone plaque is a wonderful idea! I knew of a family who didn’t have much room so they planted a bush for their child who was a miscarriage. I thought that was a very touching thing to do.
