Well...

First off…Stay away from FLASH…(the stacks and stacks or catalogs of previously done stuff…thats lame as hell…Its like a girl getting a butterfly or a rose on her breasts or shoulder…or a guy getting a barbed wire armband. (insert Pavorotti “LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”

..I’m sure the first ones were cool as hell…but after that…they scream…”I just got one to be part of the crowd”

Whats important in your life? Who is important to you?...Where is your life headed?...Take the word MAGIS…..great word and an even GREATER message…(Latin…look it up)...
If you’re still undecided…why not go down to the ink station and start up a conversation WITH the artist himself…maybe he can suggest something after talking to you about yourself and where your life is headed…Ink with a message…They’re pretty good low budget psychologist’s in their own right…maybe they’ll start something that will take the next ten years to finish, like a sleeve or a back design…keep in mind…its gonna hurt like a Mutha FCKER..and its never going to go away….Remember this too…there’s a fine line between pain and pleasure..Hopefully you don’t open up a Pandora’s box within yourself…or maybe thats just what YOU NEED?....

Bwaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha…good luck

thanks!

ive wanted to go to ohio state for as long as i can remember, and seeing as how im gonna be starting there next year i was thinking this might make a great tattoo for me, maybe on the upper arm. it would definitely fit the whole, “whats important to me, where my life is going” thing

Wait until you find out you love the school—going to it, being there, learning there, & teachers, because what if you go there and then realize you don’t adore it as much as you thought you would.

i thought of that...

i figured maybe this’ll be a long term goal and i could get it upon graduation or something

is the institution that important?

more so than the actual concept of education? I dunno. I gradudated from University some years ago and I feel no particular love for the place.. certainly not enough to warrant a near-permanent mark on my body!

I’d rather a tattoo of Einstein sticking his tongue out than a tat of my school of academia.

just my thoughts.

its more...

than just the school or the institution, i moved from columbus ohio 4 years ago and for the most part my heart is still there. going to OSU is the only goal ive stayed committed to for any real length of time. the tattoo (especially if i got it after graduation) would be a great culmination of one of the only things that has meant a lot to me.

You don’t have to get something particularly meaningful….for me, just the act of getting a tattoo reminds me of where I was, who I was with, and why i got it. The actual design (an eye and kanji) isn’t as important as the constant and lifelong reminder.

Jason...

Way to contradict yourself in your own comment…”as important as the constant and lifelong reminder”...as in MEANINGFUL?????

snickering

Snicker away….what I’m saying is that for me, the actual design doesn’t matter. The fact that there is SOME tattoo there is meaningful.
