To kickstart my japanese yesterday I got an audiobook from itunes to learn japanese…so far so good it really immerses you in the language and teaches you the basic some things I’m learnin… but the problem is that I learn better by reading and anyway to know japanese I’ll have to learn to read it which is not an easy task…

go for it~!!

if you buy a book that will teach you the written langauge too you can buy japanese comic books and practice reading the hiragana and katakana

I’ve found this site www.yesjapan.com that claims to be a good online course for japanese (including writing) so I think I might sign up for this
