More like taxiing on the runway really. I have created a basic structure in Quicken for my finances – added most of my accounts and their details, input regular trasactions like electricity, credit card bills and set up reminders for them.

I have also added a weekly reminder in my Calendar program for regular maintenace of this data. So if I spend 15 minutes every week after each reminder, I should be able to keep tabs on my finances pretty closely.
