Took part in a special service on Saturday 6 months ago

On Saturday afternoon, I attended the culminating worship service for a special workshop that was offered by our church. I took part singing with the choir. I enjoyed the event and got to hear our moderator give the message, too. The man seems so down to earth and has faced serious personal illness during his tenure.

I used to sing in the choir, not because I can sing, but because I love to sing, and I was welcomed.

To be a part of something so intensely lovely was gratifying beyond almost anything. Only the love of my sweetheart, my closest most cherished friendships and family bonds, and the pleasure of my most intense projects exceed that experience.

Mahinui, I think that’s the best reason for joining a choir, because you love to sing! :)

I find that singing and being a part of a choir, working towards a common purpose, is a very satisfying and de-stressing activity. We are a close-knit group and have a lot of fun together. We share in the good times and also the bad.

As you have described so well, mahinui, singing in a choir is a very gratifying emotional experience.
