Invite 43T friends to donate to the Library in Nepal!
Well, 6 months ago

donated a small amount over the weekend, and that gives me the excuse (/right?) to invite you all to support the Children’s Library in Nepal. You can find more information about it here in Heather’s post.

So please put those bucks in good use, and support literacy.

Considering my current mindset, I would recommend reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or the Constitution (any one will do)... so that nobody can take their rights away from them. But a colorful children’s book is perhaps more appropriate.

OH HOW SWEET!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!

Please send me a message to post inside the books I will purchase with your donation!!!!

I am currently working on this before I leave!!!

THANK YOU FAUSTUS….

AND
I agree with you…

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is BEAUTIFUL & INSPIRING…..

I have the children’s version that I am bringing with me to Nepal!!!!
It’s fantastic…
you gave me chills!

thanks!

Oh,

thank you for initiating this. I think it’s a wonderful and inspiring thing that you’re reaching out and teaching there.

Hmm… a note? Well, eloquence has never been my thing, I’m afraid… how about “Peace out!” or better yet, “You Rock!” (‘cause they do!), or something more profound-looking like this Rumi’s quote: “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.”

h.g. ~happiness Wishing Everyone~ Phenomenal New Year!!!!

I will teach them all of those phrases!

And place your quote inside books donated by you!

Funny story….
last time I went to Nepal one of my Nepalese friends said, “I like your get up!” (and I died laughing…) I asked her where did you learn that????

She said someone taught her sister that and her sister taught her…. she made me laugh…
we discussed how that may not be something to say to more formal people etc.

so cute! so now…when I see or have contact with her…of course, I tell her “I like your get up!”

;) cute!

and noted in the special instructions “43T friend of Heather” so I hope it makes it to the right project. Thank you Faustus for sharing this great goal! It reminded me it’s time to donate to the Central Asia Institute also; Greg Mortensen’s foundation for building schools in rural Pakistan.

if you haven't read "Three Cups of Tea"

You might find it interesting. Greg Mortenson (Central Asia Institute) builds schools in cooperation with local villagers in Pakistan using private funds. “Three Cups of Tea” is the story of how he came to build his first school and how that blossomed into a foundation to build many schools.

Renewalsh had a very -um - INTERESTING - trip home

In Kuala Lumpr, I recently met

a wonderful man from Peshawar, pakistan, who is working tokeepgrils in school – under conditions of intolerance, intimidation, danger and threat of death.

A truly moral, brave man.

Faustus has gotten 19 cheers on this entry.
