Master of the Parallel Parking 5 months ago

I had 6 hours of driving lessons in the past 2 days! All this after 9 hours at work and 2 hours commute! Oh, and without any breaks. I am a machine! And I rock the parallel parking. It’s my fave.

So I’ve completed my 25 hours in the classroom and 10 hours on the road. I’m getting 6 hours of private lessons so that I can practice more and gain confidence in what I should already know. It’s because I don’t have access to a car right now and my instructor has been very kind to attach 30 minutes of free lessons here and there so that I can drive more.

Road test scheduled for August 7th, 2009!

Parallel Parking

That’s great that you rock parallel parking. That’s usually the hardest thing for people to learn how to do. I remember teaching a friend how to do it after he’d been trying to learn it for years. Once I showed him the trick of lining up with the car door of the car in front of him, it was easy for him. He said he wished someone had taught him that trick in the first place.

the trick i learned was lining up mirror to mirror of the car in front of you. perhaps we mean the same thing!

Mirrors

Yes, that’s the trick that I use when I teach parallel parking. It doesn’t work with an ambulance, but for cars it’s the perfect spot to ensure you get right in. Do you also use the rear tire for knowing when to turn your wheel?
