I’m now quite sure that things worked out for the best where C was concerned. The person I saw for the month or so that we were involved is not the same person she is on a regular basis. There are many wonderful things about her, but she would not have been right for me. At this point I’m not sure if she even wants a friendship with me, and I’m ok with that either way.

I’ve begun seeing another girl, W, who is a bit younger than I am, but seems very mature in her attitudes toward relationships, and life in general. She’s intelligent and interesting, and we’re having fun. I think that’s all I want for now…just someone to have fun with. I’m feeling a bit ambivalent regarding anything more intimate or intense right now.

Haha…and as I typed the above, C started a chat session with me. Maybe we will be friends.
