Last week I entered the third level which is all about proper turn when switching partners. I was completely lost even when my friend and these two guys tried to show me. This week I got it!! I could do all the steps without messing up (except for something small like dropping my left hand onto my partners shoulder a beat late)One of the teachers said “You’ve got it down! Just relax.” I felt more and more confident and could do the sequences without thinking about it much. ....but the main teacher still didn’t let me pass to the next level. I am more disappointed than I should be. It reminds me of when I took swimming lessons as a child and got stuck at the polar bear level when I was 7 with 5 year olds because I couldn’t do the backstroke. But I won’t quit like in the case of swimming lessons. And the point is to have fun and just dance….I keep forgetting this.
