There are so many domesticated animals in suffering. I feel that since humans have made them semi or fully dependent on us, (through selective breeding or things to make our lives easier-i.e. declawing) that we should take the responsibility to help them and reduce the unwanted population. I don’t have the means to foster any animals at this point, so I was hoping to make a difference by volunteering at an animal shelter/rescue. I would especially love to work with horses, since it would be a relatively new experience for me.
