So it has been a while since I created this goal and little has changed. I find myself still focused on my job, ministry, and life. But, no woman to share those things with. I really don’t want to worry about this situation, but if I can be completely honest, (can I be?) I hate looking at guy friends of mine that are late 20’s and still don’t have a mate. They are sad, lonely, and wonder what they will do. I do not want to find myself 28 without a mate! Haha, that rhymes. I will tell you honestly that this last year has been the hardest so far. I think there is something inside of us as we get older that craves that special person who you can share life with. It’s that person who knows you, still loves you, and wants to be around you.
This I have realized; It is easy to get distracted by a great number of things in the opposite sex. (especially as a guy) When it all comes down to it, I really want a woman that is my best friend. Relationships based on fact, or passion, or availability may work. But, I think that a marriage relationship built around friendship is one that will last till’ the end. So… Still looking for that girl with passion off the chain for Jesus Christ and rock climbing. I need a girl who understands sacrificing all for The Lord and wants to take vacations to crags to climb! If you see any around..(send them my way) haha.
