I remember flying through the air
yes, me – Afez Birdshredder, daughter
of a proud line reaching back to Aegypt
and the court of Ramses the Lesser -
there was a blinding flash which must
have been lightning and a torrent of
rain.

I landed with Arrizz Rodentslasher
on my head: “Idiot of no lineage!” I
hissed and ran into the curtains to
hide from the two-legged ones.

Hopefully they will leave me alone
and were frightened away by the storm.
