be an inspiration to someone

My thought in putting this as a goal is that I will live my life as though someone who needs inspiration is watching. This will make me lead my life in an inspirational way and help direct me to where I want to be in life. For example: I didn’t think I would inspire anyone when I started college, married with 3 kids. But then, I had 2 friends and my aunt go to school and all 3 told me they started or went back because I inspired them to do so. They said if I could do it, especially now, a single mom of 2, then surely they could. All 3 have since graduated, and I’m still plugging away. So, this is my philosophy. Maybe it will inspire you to think of yours. ;-)

Diet coach

so, I’m somebody who, like you, is slogging through school and trying to stay sane and be healthy.

As part of my Health Psychology course we have had to pick a personal health behavior to change for the better – ie, kick a bad habit or start a new postive one, and, of course, we have to write a term paper on it…

The main point though, is I want to clean up my diet and keep it that way, even when facing apparent road blocks.

I’m wondering, would you be willing to help me out as my “diet coach” – keeping in touch with me about how I’m doing, give me encouraging words if I find it difficult, or just plain old telling me to “make it happen already!”—the kick in the ass we all sometimes need?

Obviously you’re a busy person, so I won’t take regection personally, but do let me know if this sounds like something you would like to help me with :)

Wow…i just read your comment. I am very flattered. I’m not sure what I can do to help but I’d love to stay in touch and try to help kick your ass when you need. lol

AUGHGHGHG!

wow – am I ever being put to the test right now! 9th week out of a ten week term, and it feels like I’m hanging on by a hairs breath to the end of my mental and emotional energy rope…

Actually, I’m really invigorated by the work and the healthier diet – but also insanely overwhelmed by papers, art projects (for my ceramics class) and presenations coming up…

Basically my “diet” is to stop eatting crap (especially fried potato items, chocolate, cookies, fizzy drinks, etc etc) and to add in the nutrious stuff, like leafy greens, oat meal, nuts, etc… oh, and pump up the water in take – both through tap water and weak herbal tea

I slipped a tiny bit tonight, with some ice cream,... but otherwise I’ve been REALLY good :)
