Feng Shui my apartment (read all 2 entries…)
Just moved to this place in June 4 months ago

1. I usually feng shui my space straight away when I move in. But this has been a strange move. I moved in near the end of June, then spent a week dating a guy who turned out to be a stalker, a week hiding at my sister’s house from said stalker, a week of teacher training, a week in Chicago… So I have not even unpacked everything yet! This place is full of clutter and junk already. There is not much in the way of storage space so it’s all about in piles.

2. The door is not facing an auspicious direction for me, but fortunately, it is already painted purple, the appropriate color to fix that! How lucky. And I have placed my bed facing an appropriate direction.

3. Thirdly, it is a loft style apartment. Living and kitchen downstairs, bed and bath upstairs. I have never done this before. Does that mean there are two levels for some of the guas and empty space above the others? or do I treat the upstairs as a separate entity with all 8 areas? Any thoughts?

4. The stairs… point right out the front door. I know this is not a good thing. How to fix…

Good question!

How did you fix #4? I hope you are well settled into your new place now.:)

for #4, kind of a confused answer :/

Thanks for checking on me! I keep getting more settled… it’s improving!

So far I have put a mirror on the back of the front door “to keep money from flowing out.” The rate of cash hemorrhage has decreased, but not stopped yet!! :D

Do the open stairs (you can see underneath the steps, between each step, does that make sense?) cause the chi can just fall between the cracks? I’m not sure if it’s falling, and stagnating in the piles of crap under the stairs, or rushing up and out the bathroom window. So I keep the bathroom door mostly shut and hung a mirror opposite the bathroom door as well.

Should I put a curtain of some sort at the top or bottom of the stairs?

Am I on the right track, at all? eesh! Thank you for your thoughts :)

Sorry for responding so late.

I just found this! I remember a day a week or so ago where I wasn’t getting notifications.

I think the mirror is a good idea. If you hung a curtain in in the entryway, would it feel good to you? If it feels like it’s not in the way, and helps the entryway flow better, sure!

wembleyheads has gotten 5 cheers on this entry.
