last weekend we stopped by the Huckleberry Festival where he had intended to sell his photographs. He was talking to people he knew and I was watching the huckleberry bake-off judging. A gentleman struck up a conversation and soon he, his wife & I were talking about a chili cook-off they are having in September!

I was so excited! I judged chili cook-offs in Texas with my deceased husband closing each year with the championships in Terlingua. It was so much fun.

I gave them my card and really didn’t expect to hear anything more from them.

This morning I got an e-mail from the Chili Mistress of the cook-off asking if I’d like to join them as a guest judge. That made my morning!

Have to admit I enjoy new adventures! :)
